Phoenix Feather Studios — Independent Games Studio

An independent games studio with very specific taste.

A small team forging a new path forward.

Phoenix Feather Studios is dedicated to one philosophy: interesting stories via interesting gameplay. We innovate across genres big and small — from sexy cryptids to evil business salmon — and only make games that capture what it truly means to love gaming.

For General Matters · Studio Head

Joel Zachary

With loud, strong opinions about the gaming industry, he sank his teeth the second that he got the chance to start an indie studio with a few close friends. His obsessions range from balance decisions in The Binding of Isaac to Roxanne Wolf being simply objectively the best character ever. The mostly fearless leader (outside of geese) of Phoenix Feather Studios will always stand up for indie gaming, content creators, and UGC, no matter what.

For Creative Matters · Creative Director

Ilena Mita

From a bossy little sister backseat gaming, to a multi-hyphenated lady film bro, she’s been working her whole life to be a part of the world on the screen. You might otherwise find her cosplaying a pickle, writing unhinged fiction, or on the dance floor. Favorite things include: vampires, character creation, video essays, Pauline in Super Mario Odyssey, and the bit.

For Artistic Matters · Art Director

Caroline Osterman

caroline@phoenixfeather.games

Bunny mom who’s been painting, clay sculpting, shooting film, crocheting & cake decorating since she could hold a DS Lite stylus. Daughter of a painter and an author so, all kind of inevitable. Insists her most influential work was an illustrated high school 1D fanfic so popular on Tumblr that it was plagiarized to Wattpad. Now in charge of every pixel of our visual identity, for better or worse.
